Backyard Expressions Hammock Chair

A wide seat, two soft pillows and a slow, easy sway, wherever you decide to hang it. The Backyard Expressions hammock chair is a cotton-blend hanging seat held open by a steel spreader bar, with rope sides that gather to a single hanging point. One pillow rests behind your back and the other sits under you, so it is ready to sit in the moment it goes up. Everything you need to hang it comes in the box: a steel chain to set the height, a spring for a little bounce, and a carabiner to clip it together. Hang it from a ceiling joist or porch beam, a strong tree branch, or a hammock chair stand (sold separately), and leave enough room below so the seat clears the floor when you sit down. It is sized for one adult and rated to carry up to 500 pounds. Use it on a covered porch or patio through the warm months, then bring it inside for a bedroom corner, sunroom or reading nook when the weather turns. To keep it looking good, spot clean the seat and pillows with mild soap and water, let them dry fully, and bring the chair in during rain or long stretches of wet weather. Choose from charcoal, beige, green, blue or teal to suit the space.

• SINK IN AND STAY A WHILE: Two pillows come with the chair, one to lean back on and one to sit on, so the wide cotton-blend seat feels soft from the first swing. Curl up with a book, tuck your feet in, or just let it sway
• STEADY FROM THE BAR DOWN: A steel spreader bar holds the hanging seat open, and anti-slip rings keep the side ropes from creeping along it. Reinforced ropes and double-stitched edges are rated to carry up to 500 pounds
• ROOM FOR ONE, WITH SPACE TO CURL UP: The deep seat is roomy enough to sit sideways or pull your knees up, and it hangs like a cozy sling rather than an upright chair, which makes it a natural fit for a reading corner or a swing chair in the bedroom
• EVERYTHING TO HANG IT, RIGHT IN THE BOX: The steel chain sets the height you like, the spring adds a gentle bounce and the carabiner clips it all together. Hang it from a ceiling joist, a porch beam, a sturdy branch or a chair stand (sold separately)
• A PORCH SEAT IN SUMMER, A READING NOOK IN WINTER: The breathable fabric stays comfortable on warm afternoons, and the whole chair unclips in a minute to come inside when rain or cold rolls in. Pick charcoal, beige, green, blue or teal
